PATS News
The Pats Board is off to a wonderful start this year. We have many enthusiastic members and are excited about this years upcoming projects. There are several opportunities this year for you to become an active participant in the PATS organization. We have two main events that require numerous volunteers. The first is the Fall Fest which will be held on November 6. This will include a spaghetti supper, art show, and auction followed by the wonderful MRA Talent Show. The Fall Fest Committee is already hard at work and plans are being made to make this a fun family night for all our MRA patrons. Our major event and fundraiser for the year is the Gardens of Madison County which will be held May 2-4. The weekend will begin with the annual Garden Party which offers an opportunity for patrons to socialize in a wonderful atmosphere. The Garden tour will take place on May 3rd and 4th and promises to be a chance to view some of the elite Gardens in our area. The Pats Board also organizes the Boxtops for Education program at MRA and has added a new Beautification Committee to help spruce up areas around our campus. The PATS Board encourages your participation in the above events and welcomes any suggestions, comments or ideas that you may have. I would also like to acknowledge and thank all the patrons that have accepted positions as PATS Board members, Coordinators, Committee Chairs, and Navigators. Your willingness to volunteer your time is what makes the PATS organization successful in its endeavors and I look forward to working with all of you in the year ahead. Sincerely, Laurie Ruwe PATS President 2007-2008
